Quick Question: Combine SmarTrip Cards

Hey all,

Is there a way to combine SmarTrip cards?

I moved back into the area and my parents have, like, 8 cards with between $0.xx and $20 which they no longer use since neither of them commute anymore. I'd like to consolidate as much as I could.

Dorsum in the day (like, 2009?) I could consolidate the paper cards. Tin can I use the "merchandise in farecard" option on the kiosks to accept value off of another SmarTrip card? Or am I out of luck?

Add all the cards to your account
For the cards yous want to transfer the remaining balance to your "Main" carte du jour. Select i at a time and hit "Report Cards as Lost, Stolen Damaged or Malfunctioning"
Yous'll have an option for transferring the remainder to another card. Select your "Main" ane that you want to take all the money on.

I've had a card damaged earlier and I was able to transfer the balance to a new card via the wmata site. You should be able to practise the same assuming the cards you have aren't already registered to another account.

SmartBenefits is washed through an employer and is not what OP is asking almost. Funds on SmarTrip cards can definitely exist transferred via the wmata site. I would judge y'all could transfer them via the machines as well, like with the paper fare cards, but I haven't always tried to do that with the SmarTrip cards so, I can't confirm.

I did. "SmartBenefits" didn't appear to include "Stored Value."
